About the Laboratory

This laboratory is a space for those who want to deepen their connection with their body, voice, and movement as tools for self-expression and interaction with the world. We will explore how performativity is born — not only on stage but in everyday life. Through work with attention, breath, voice, and movement, participants will discover new levels of bodily awareness and learn to feel confident in their expression. The focus lies in the transition from internal sensations to external expression and working with space — whether it’s a room, the street, or an urban site.

Structure of the Sessions

The course consists of eight meetings. Each session includes:
  • Somatic and vocal warm-ups:
developing sensitivity, paying attention to breath, voice, and the body
  • Stage presence practices:
learning how to be seen and heard, working with attention and public presence
  • Technique study:
fundamentals of contemporary dance, acting, vocal, and performative exercises
  • Site-specific work:
exploring and interacting with different environments and urban spaces
  • Collaborations:
co-creation with visual artists, musicians, dancers, and media artists

Methodology

We work with the body and voice as primary mediums of performative expression. The sessions alternate between individual and group tasks, with an emphasis on awareness of the self and the collective. The approach is interdisciplinary — combining art, stage practices, and somatic work to cultivate perception and expressiveness.

Who This Lab is For

  • Those who want to develop stage and communication skills
  • Artists, performers, dancers, actors, and emerging body-based practitioners
  • Anyone interested in somatic and vocal practices
  • Anyone looking to cultivate presence, confidence, and awareness

Practical Notes

  • No prior stage or dance experience is required — open to all levels
  • The final result may be a collective or individual performance created by participants
  • You are also welcome to attend without aiming for a public performance
  • Some sessions may take place outdoors or in urban spaces

Come feel, move and express!

This lab is not only about art — it’s about life, presence, non-verbal communication, and the experience of yourself and others.

Spots are limited to ensure a careful and attentive approach to each participant.
